Latter-day Saint Earth Stewardship is pleased to present the 2026 Fall Forum, an evening of art, ideas, and conversation centered on caring for God’s creation.

This year’s theme, Every Good Tree, is inspired by Matthew 7:17: “Every good tree bringeth forth good fruit.” Through art, writing, and thoughtful discussion, we will explore the spiritual, cultural, and ecological significance of trees, with a special focus on their place in Latter-day Saint theology and history.

The forum will be held October 24, 2026 in the Clarke Building, Room 510-511 at Utah Valley University.

Choose how to join us:

General Admission (FREE): Includes access to the keynote address and art exhibit. Seating is limited so make sure to reserve your spot.

MEET OUR KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

Dr. Nalini Nadkarni is a tree ecologist, National Geographic Explorer, and professor emeritus at the University of Utah. A foremost expert on rainforest canopies, her work has been featured in TIME, Science Friday, Radiolab, and Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me!, and she hosts KUER’s weekly feature TreeNote. In addition to receiving numerous conservation awards, she inspired Mattel’s line of science explorer Barbie dolls. Today, Dr. Nadkarni collaborates with diverse groups—including faith organizations, artists, dancers, and nonprofits—to promote understanding of the cultural and ecological importance of trees.
